Without the opportunity to feed at McDonald’s, I doubt you will be ready for the frenzy that occurs when food appears.  No longer worried about rot and mold, the average competition will usually end in hunger.  Again.

All of those cans and dried foods magically disappear into a lack of a can opener, or a missing ingredient, namely WATER.

With little fanfare I am now blogging.  My hope is to get some ideas online that I can work with.  Since it is silly to try and write a book, this will be the start.  Thank you all for reading.  Please contribute some amount so that I can keep this project alive.

PC HERE has left the city and moved to the boonies.  The idea of working online is the best decision I have made.  Hardly missed are the ideas of hot water and steady random company.  Hard work and constant challenge might bring me to a better place.

The idea of this subject regarding the Apocalypse is based upon the sad realization of how some people believe they can survive, when they clearly cannot even deal with the comforts of home they now enjoy.  Lack of Order, Lack of food, Lack of friendly people…. the list goes on and on.  I hope to record some of the struggles and triumphs here for both my referral while I try to make sense of what is left of my life.

Challenges faced have included no power, no water, no heat, and a change in diet.  I have worked on solutions.  I have been blessed with some wonderful people who have offered and given so much to me.  Thank you all.  I will try to honor your efforts and return to you more than you have given me.

Look here for some pictures, some descriptions and some references.  I will write down what I can while illustrating what come about.  However, I can assure you, that trying to live on a meager amount of money and trying to learn how to do some things to survive is based much more on knowledge, trial and effort than on raw power and effort.

The unified voice of Chicago resounded throughout Wrigley Field last night as the Cubs won their first Home World Series game since the end of World War II.  The jubilant crowd broke into the song, “Go Cubs Go”, as the national broadcasters concluded their remarks for the chilly evening of the National Pastime.

Retiring star, David Ross, lifted a long, fly ball to left field with the bases loaded in the 4th inning to cap a 2-run rally.  The run proved to be the difference as Cubs’ closer Aroldis Chapman outdistanced his longest relief performance of the year with 2 2/3 innings to seal the Cubs’ victory.  Chapman shut down the vaunted Indians’ attack with marvelous control and a dominating presence on the mound.

Starter Jon Lester pitched the Cubs into a solid position, yielding only 4 hits and two runs.  The appreciative crowd, dotted with the popular stars who had lead the 7th inning stretch for the three night series in Chicago, Bill Murray, Vince Vaughn and Eddie Vedder, responded to their heroes in fashionable ways.  They cheered and celebrated the magic that has been the symbol of North Side baseball for over 100 years.

Seats that sold for thousands of dollars were filled with a changing cast of lifelong fans.  From young children, whose parents would be eager to remind them of the historical significance of the games, to 90+ aged patrons who had not seen a World Series victory since they had been brought the same way to the park.

The Cubs hope that the magic extends past the spooky Monday Night Football game that the Bears face at Soldier Field on this Halloween night of 2016.  Back to Cleveland with the youthful team invigorated by a magical win on a chilly October evening in a historical setting.  Go Cubs Go.
