NO TIME TO BLOG,

There is a belief that if you only have a website, then all your online needs can be solved.  …But nobody is looking!

With hunting season upon us in Foxboro, the deer get jumpy, the woods get dangerous. Actions have different consequences, so care and quiet are the norm.

This am was a great time to get out and test the skills of being able to sit still, quietly, and wait for deer. The grey overcast and some  raindrops, forcast a dismal experience. But spirits were high and the opportunity that so many pay so dearly in time, effort and cash, was there to be had with only a short walk down a prepared pathway.

From the green of Summer to the reds of Fall, I have sought good pics of the area and some here and there of wildlife. My interactions with the fawns and toddlers of the woods has been postive this year.

No dogs chasing the animals away, has lead to peace in the forest. Today was no exception.

With a Dog Chow bag to sit on, I rested at the base of a tree on a main path and figured that the raindrops would have to entertain me for the hour. Up before dawn, I wondered how I would know anyway without any promise of sunshine.

Rustling through the woods. Rustling as I sat down. Ice creaking under my boots. I wondered how anything for miles couldn’t hear me.

Yet I was rewarded. The movement started with the hope of a squirrel, and revealed at 1-2 year old doe. She saw me. She thought she saw me. Nibbling on something, walking, looking, walking.

Until I turned my head a bit and saw the eyes through the brush and she bounded away. Plan completed. Nice experience. No need for arrows or lead today.
